The Devet Family Photo Album (1946 - 1956)
My own family's collection of black and white photos from the 40's and 50's were languishing in albums and beginning to deteriorate. Hundreds of photos from my childhood needed to be resurrected and brought back to life. I spent several months scanning and cleaning each photo in order to present them in close-up for this video. I made a video explaining how I made my own family video. It will give you a good idea of the process.

The McClanahan "Almost Lost" Home Movies
This production is based on home movies taken of my wife's family between 1965 and 1976 - more than a dozen super 8 reels tucked away in a Thom McAnn shoebox in the back of a closet. After the films were digitally transferred, my wife and I interviewed her parents on camera. Their lively commentary serves as the narrative thread of 11 years of McClanahan family history.
